The auto parts company was facing risk from outdated applications and software as well as limited technology choices due to their on-premise environment, as well as a short time horizon to migrate from its VMWare on-premises environment to Azure: within one year.

They also sought a solution to connect their more than 100 stores via the cloud when they moved from their existing VPN solution. providing the groundwork for launching ecommerce that would take information from stores to enable personalized digital commerce.

The modern, high-performance cloud environments would enable the auto parts supplier to take advantage of advanced and flexible cloud services to modernize every area of its customer and employee experiences.

The company turned to the FX Innovation team of Azure Cloud professionals to help.

The Process: Plan, Test, Execute and Operationalize
The auto parts supplier partnered with FX Innovation, known for its multi-cloud and ServiceNow expertise, and agile methods for efficient cloud transition.

The FX team worked in partnership with the company‘s IT team to plan and successfully execute the business-critical migration. From discovery workshops to workload readiness, migration roadmap and infrastructure testing, FX successfully executed the migration on time and on-budget.

FX also identified a solution to quickly bring the 100+ stores to Azure with a site-to-site VPN using the OpenVPN server/protocol, a dependable, efficient and quick way for each store to connect.​

The migrated environment was operationalized and transferred to the FX Managed Services team so our client would be able to focus on supporting its business vs managing its infrastructure and have complete peace of mind for their mission-critical workloads today and into the future.
